Lost or stolen driver card

If you subsequently find your card after you have reported it lost or stolen and applied for a replacement, it is an offence to continue using that card.

In this case, the card should be returned to the RSA even if they are still waiting for the new card to arrive. Once the application is made, it should not be cancelled.

Will I have to pay

The fee for replacement cards is €45. You are eligible for a refund of this amount only if, upon examination, the RSA determines your card has a manufacturing fault.
